Intelligent Design and the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Some members of the Kansas Board of Education have been trying to change the science standards in the Kansas public schools to allow teaching of intelligent design creationism.

Touched by his Noodley AppendageRecently a request was sent to the Kansas School Board for Flying Spaghetti Monsterism be taught alongside Intelligent Design and Evolution in Kansas public schools. Proponents of this religion believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe and put in place what appears to be scientific evidence for evolution.

It sounds like a good argument to me - once supernatural explanations are allowed in the science classroom, it would be wrong to limit the teaching to any particular "designer".
