It's been raining off and on for the past couple of days - gloomy and damp and altogether yucky. But lo and behold, about 7pm tonight the temperature dropped enough to turn the rain into that white fluffy stuff. Well, actually sort of damp and sticky, rather than fluffy, but still better than rain. It's kind of hard to remember that just two weeks ago it was sunny and 75 degrees.

Snow! I love it!

There are a couple more photos on my Yucaipa blog.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.

Hi Peggy...thought I would hop in here and say hello. I am a mother (Australian) of three scientists...two male and one female...and am in awe of your prodigious output on your blogs!

Somewhere I stumbled on your "women in science" blog, and was amazed and awed by the amount of coverage you have there. I listed your blog on my (very ordinary) blog, in hopes that my daughter may read well as others! But you know, she hasn't a hope of having time to read is all she can do to keep up with work and work related reading/activities/writing papers and be a wife and mother (just recently had her first baby)...and keep up with family on occasion! [I can still hope that one day she might be able to read these things]!

So I just wanted to encourage you in the amazing coverage you have there...and elsewhere...I wasn't aware of these other blogs until I looked at your profile today!

Keep up the good work!!

ps And I hope that family emergency isn't the reason that you haven't posted since January. But it possibly is.

Hi Annie,

Glad you enjoy the blogs. Yes, the family emergency is the reason for my lack of posts. Hopefully, I'm getting back on track now.
