So, Friday night we decided to mix it up some and head to Chinatown for dinner. Erin at Scienceblogs gave us a few recommendations, and we decided on Joe's Shanghai Restaurant. It's a popular crowded restaurant, where you share the 6-seater tables with other diners. The good thing is that there is a regular turnover of seats, so we didn't have to wait for too long.
Joe's is famous for their soup dumplings, which are just what they sound like: steamed dumplings filled with soup. Well, not soup exactly, but a small pork ball and flavorful broth. They are a bit tricky to eat without dripping the broth all over the plate, but worth the effort. The rest of the meal was pretty good, although not as interesting as the dumplings.
