Make Mine Caffeinated

I'll admit that I love coffee. I need my 2+ cups - black, no sugar - to get me going in the morning. Now research is beginning to show that caffeinated coffee does indeed jump start the brain.

New Scientist reports on a recent study demonstrating that caffeine improves short-term memory.
“This type of memory is used when, for example, you look up a telephone number in a book and then mentally store it before dialling,” [researcher Florian Koppelstätter] adds.
In related news, it's been reported that switching to decaf coffee can raise your "bad cholesterol" level. (via Slashfood)
