Celebrate your freedom to read!

“Books and ideas are the most effective weapons
against intolerance and ignorance.”—Lyndon Baines Johnson
September 24-October 1 is The American Library Association's Banned Books Week. Shocking as it is, people are still burning books, right here in America.

What can you do? For a start, you could read one of the ALA's 100 most frequently challenged books (1990-2000). I'm considering either #7, one of the Harry Potter books, #42, Beloved (Toni Morrison) or #69 Slaughterhouse-Five (Kurt Vonnegut), depending on my mood.
