The panoramas.dk site has a huge archive of 360 degree quicktime VRs. You can visit places near (Mt. Whitney, at Burning Man), far (Angkor Wat, Petra, Jordon) or out of this world (Apollo moon landing sites, Mars). From concerts (Riverboat Jazz Festival) to celebrations (New Year's Eve in NYC), it's almost as good as being there. (This one makes me dizzy.)
