Is Canada the Cradle of Life?

Recent studies indicate that a meteor impact in the Canadian arctic created conditions hospitable for microorganism growth.
A study of the Haughton Impact Crater on Devon Island in the Canadian Arctic by the Canadian Space Agency has revealed the presence of a number of features associated with the emergence of microscopic life forms.

Note that, contrary to some claims, the theory of evolution does NOT address the issue of the origin of life, rather it describes how genetic changes in populations arise (including the emergence of new species).
